Arthur's Bazaar at Loxcare

Loxcare is situated on the corner of Drabsch St and Pyap St in Loxton. Arthur's Bazaar is at Shop 17 Drabsch St Loxton (opposite Police Station), open Tuesday 9am to 2pm, Thursday 9am to 4.30pm and Friday 9am to 2pm.  Thank you to everyone who donates clothing and bric-a-brac. You are helping us to help our community.

The Rotary Opp Shop in Loxton opening hours - Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 3pm, to 4pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 to 11.15am.  Also available, great affordable vintage and theme party gear.  Situated on William Street Loxton (off Bookpurnong Tce).


Living Waters Christian Community Library

Living Waters Christian Community Library has a large range of resources available to the public, including books on Christian living, spiritual growth and ministry, biographies, fiction and magazines, teaching DVDs and movies, children's DVDs and Christian music CDs.  Membership is free, all welcome.  Open Sundays after the 10am worship service, and Tuesdays and Fridays from 11am to 3pm.  For information call 8584 5044.

First and Third Thursdays - ADRA Community Food Pantry

If you're a pensioner, unemployed or on a low income, you can save big on food bills at the ADRA Food Pantry.  Open on the first and third Thursday of the month, from 10am to 4pm at the Genesis Building, Riverland Adventist Centre, 19 Sunrise Court (off the Old Sturt Highway) in Berri.  Long shelf life food stocks, with near or post best by dates, available at very low Donation prices, and some fresh fruit and vegetables subject to availability.  For information call Pastor Rick Meale on 0435 502 757.


Alternate Tuesdays - MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers)

Mothers with pre-schoolers are invited to come along to MOPS at the Berri Church of Christ 1025 Old Sturt Highway, from 9.30am to 11.30am on alternate Tuesdays during school terms, for friendship, practical parenting tips and the MOPPETS childrens programme.  Cost is $5, and bring along a piece of fruit for your child.  The next session is on Tuesday 3rd April.  For information call Debby on 0467 842 279.


Tuesdays during school terms - Little Albees Playgroup

Parents with children 0-5 years are invited to Little Albees Playgroup, every Tuesday from 9am to 11am during school terms at St Albert's Catholic School, 13 Geraldton St Loxton (in the Playgroup room at the end of the outdoor court).  Bring a gold coin donation, water bottle, hat and a piece of fruit to share.  For details call the school, 8584 5110 or email, chelseag@stalbert.catholic.edu.au


Third Friday each month - Berri Youth Hub

The Berri Youth Hub is a safe community space for youth aged from 10 to 16 years, a place to have fun with games and activities, to prepare and share meals together and to provide time for reflection.  The youth Hub operates from 4:30pm to 8pm on the third Friday of the month at St Albans Anglican Church hall 4 Strawbridge St Berri.  


Wednesdays - Rivergum Christian College Playgroup

The Rivergum Christian College Playgroup is on every Wednesday during terms, from 9am to 10.30am, 128 Distillery Road Glossop.  Children aged 0-5 and parents/caregivers welcome.  Cost is $2 per family.  Please bring a piece of fruit to share, and a water bottle.  For information contact the school on 8583 2304.


Wednesday 15th August - Prayer for Riverland Farmers

The Loxton Uniting Church, corner Martha St and Bookpurnong Tce, invites the community to join them in prayer for Riverland Farmers, for rain and for God's Creation, 7.30pm Wednesday 15th August.  There will also be a retiring offering for farmers affected by drought.


Friday 17th August - Berri Youth Hub Olympics

Friday 17th August - Australian Breastfeeding Association Riverland

The Riverland Breastfeeding Group is meeting for coffee from 10am to 12 noon at the Loxton Club and the theme is 'Sharing your toilet training experience.'  All welcome - mums, mums to be, support people, children and no matter how you feed your baby.  For information call Jill 0428 362 707 or Sonya 0408 801 419.


Friday 17th August - Ladies Night Out in Waikerie

The Waikerie Uniting Church invites women to a 2-course dinner with guest speaker Naomi Mee, a certified marriage mentor and co-founder of Breakthrough Marriage Mentoring, sharing testimony of redeemed and restored marriage.  Also featuring worship leader, Danielle Aitken, with Norman Fraser, and stringed duo, Shae Greiger and Ebony Doering.  Tickets are $25, available at McKoy Menswear, or call 0427 412 237.  6.30 for 7pm Friday 17th August at the Waikerie Football Clubrooms.


Saturday 18th August - Loxton High School Feud

The Loxton High School Prefects are holding a fundraising event, Saturday 18th August at the Loxton High School Community Theatre - a Loxton High Feud, featuring a family feud style showdown between teachers and students!  Also other games, complimentary cheese platters, and great prizes.  Doors open 6.30 for 7pm start, 8 people per table.  Tickets available from Totally Exposed.  All funds raised go to Prefects to assist in student-led projects within the school.


Saturday 18th August - Reacharge Youth Mystery Movie Night

Reacharge Youth invites all high school youth and year 7's to a movie night with popcorn, movie quiz and prizes, on Saturday 18th August from 6pm to 9pm at Living Waters Christian Community Edward St Loxton.  Feel free to bring a bean bag and pillow, ugg boots or your onesies.  Cost is $5 which includes tea.


Sunday 26th August - Global Leadership Summit Taster

All church and community leaders are invited to a Global Leadership Summit (GLS) Taster - an opportunity to find out what a GLS is all about.  A light tea will follow.  5pm Sunday 26th August at the Berri Church of Christ, 1025 Old Sturt Hwy.  A full GLS will be held in Mildura 2-3 November.  For information and to book call Pastor Clinton Wardle 0408 516 578.
